Lucario thrives as a flexible attacker that can apply both physical and special pressure as a hardy sweeper. With Mega Evolution, it becomes a fast and extremely efficient special attacker, and also serves as one of the nice counter to some of the more meta choices.
Here are two suggested builds.
This build focuses on fast, consistent special damage with strong priority options. Pair this alongside a Tailwind setup, Pokémon like Whimsicott for a speedy, hardy attacker with boosted damage from Adaptability.

This version focuses on serious physical damage and priority options. Lucario has strong enough typing and Base Stats to excel without Mega Evolution.
