Publish Date: January 10, 2023

While the offseason has slowed down a bit after the initial rush of signings, there are still teams that are slowly figuring out their plan for 2023. The Los Angeles Gladiators are a team that is focusing on reshaping their lineup as they have made a few moves already this offseason. After sending away Kim “Shu” Jin-seo to Houston and receiving Mun “Lastro” Jung-won in return, the Glads have announced a few new departures last week.

The news slowly began rolling out on Wednesday January 4 as the Los Angeles Gladiators announced the departure of Corey “Reiner” Scoda. Reiner was one of the elite rookies to entire the league in 2022 and helped the Glads secure both the Kickoff Clash and Midseason Madness titles. The next day Los Angeles revealed their decision to part ways with Kim “Skewed” Min-seok. The flex support came into the league surrounded by question marks as not many people even knew who he was. However people learned his name quick, as he became one of the premier Brigitte specialists in the league.

Then on January 6, the Gladiators announced that Indy “SPACE” Halpern would not be returning to LA for a fourth season. SPACE didn’t see much play time this year as he remained sidelined by Reiner’s impressive play. His veteran presence surely was a key part of the Gladiators success in 2022, and will now look for new opportunities for a starting spot around the league.
