Branch was a five-star recruit in the class of 2023 who signed with USC out of Nevada. As a freshman, he contributed with 31 catches for 320 yards and two touchdown catches. He also had an impact on special teams with two return touchdowns. In 2024, he improved with 47 catches for 503 yards and one touchdown. He helped the team win seven games. Before the 2025 season, he transferred to Georgia. With the Bulldogs in 2025, Branch caught 81 passes for 811 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He led the Bulldogs to a CFP appearance.
Following the CFP, Branch declared for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a day two pick.
Branch is a great athlete for the wide receiver position. He is a former track athlete and that speed shows up on tape. Branch ran a 4.35 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He has good acceleration to get to his top speed quickly. Branch also has good agility and jumping ability, which makes him a well-rounded athlete for the position.
He has really good hands, as he only had two drops last season with 81 catches. Branch isn’t afraid to go over the middle and can make contested catches, even with his limited size. He tracks the ball into his hands well and has limited focus drops. Branch has a smaller frame, but if the ball gets on target he can regularly come down with it.
His ability to run after the catch is among the best in the class. Georgia tried to get the ball into his hands quickly and let him create, which worked well. He has good vision in the open field and uses his speed and agility to get by defenders. This ability to be effective with the ball in his hands makes him a great return option for special teams.
Branch is small for an NFL wide receiver. He stands at 5-foot-9 and 177 pounds, which is well below the NFL average for the position. Branch can struggle against physical corners due to his size. At the NFL Combine, he also measured in with arms under 30 inches. His catch radius will be smaller than most other receivers.
He was used mainly as a quick option in the Georgia offense and was not used downfield as often as his speed might indicate. Branch ran a limited route tree and often caught balls behind the line of scrimmage. Branch will need to expand his route tree to be more than a gadget player at the next level.
While he has the athleticism to be a good route-runner, he needs to get more detailed with it. He rounds off routes and doesn’t focus on making sharp cuts. Branch mainly wins because of his speed, but if he taps into his agility, he can really create more spearation over the first and second levels of a defense.
