Max Iheanachor NFL Draft Profile

Publish Date: April 14, 2026

The 2026 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Max Iheanachor NFL Draft Profile.

Max Iheanachor Background

Position: Offensive Tackle

School: Arizona State

Size: 6-foot-6 inches, 321 pounds

Class: Senior

2025 stats: Second Team All-Big 12

Iheanachor started his college career at the JUCO level at East Los Angeles College. He played two seasons there before transferring to Arizona State. In his first season with the Sun Devils, he started at both tackle spots over five games. He started all 14 games during the 2024 season at right tackle and helped the Sun Devils make the CFP. In 2025, he was named Second Team All-Big 12 for his play. He led the Sun Devils to an eight-win season.

Following the season, Iheanachor has been preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a first or second-round pick.

Max Iheanachor Strengths

Iheanachor has great size and strength for the position. He measured in at 6-foot-6 and 321 pounds at the NFL Combine, which are great for the next level. With his size comes great play strength. He also had long arms that measured in at over 33 inches. Iheanachor is able to use his length to sustain his blocks.

Especially for his size, Iheanachor is a great athlete for the position. He isn’t always the quickest at the snap, but he shows some good burst at other times. Iheanachor is really impressive with his agility and ability to play in space. He has good flexibility to help combat athletic edge rushers.

He has significant pass-blocking potential. Iheanachor can mirror pass rushers pretty well, matching their movements. He has the agility that can help him with this as edge rushers go through their counters. His anchor is also strong to help him stall power rushers. He’ll have to refine some technique, but the tools are there for Iheanachor to be a good pass blocker at the NFL level.

Max Iheanachor Weaknesses

Iheanachor is still relatively new to football, as he played basketball in high school. He has shown good improvement, but will still need to get better in certain areas, which can come with extra reps. Iheanachor can struggle to see where pressures are coming from and also to pass off twists in front of him. He’ll have to see things more clearly in the future.

He has strong hands, but needs to work on his hand usage. His hands need to be activated more quickly so he can prevent defenders from getting into his frame. Iheanachor also places his hands too wide, which limits his control, but also makes him susceptible to holding calls, especially at the next level.

While he does have good power, he loses some of it when his pad level is elevated. Iheanachor needs to keep his pad level low to win the leverage battle. If he does that he can be a much more powerful player than he has even shown so far.

Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick-Second Round Pick

Draft Grade: Second Round Pick
