The 2026 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Gennings Dunker NFL Draft Profile.
Position: Interior Offensive Line
School: Iowa
Size: 6-foot-5, 319 pounds
Class: Senior
2025 stats: Third Team All-Big Ten
Dunker was a three-star prospect who signed with Iowa out of Illinois in the class of 2021. He redshirted in 2021 as he recovered from a foot injury. In 2022, he started one game at right guard. He moved to right tackle in 2023 and started 13 games. Dunker helped the team win 10 games that season. For 2024, Dunker was Second Team All-Big Ten for his play as Iowa won eight games. This season, Dunker was a Third Team All-Big Ten for his play and Iowa won nine games.
Following the season, Dunker has been preparing for the 2026 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a second to fourth-round pick.
Dunker has good size for the interior offensive line. He measured in at 6-foot-5 and 319 pounds at the NFL Combine, which puts him right in line with NFL standards. Dunker had arms that measured over 33 inches, which gives him solid length. The length and strength, paired with his 10-inch hands, help him win a lot of his matchups.
He is a great run blocker, specifically in a zone scheme, which he operated well in at Iowa. Dunker can clear big holes for running backs and flows to his blocks. He hits with heavy hands and can move defenders out of the way. Dunker can blow up players at the second level to create real big plays.
As a pass blocker, Dunker can handle power rushers. He is able to set an anchor and not give up much ground to bull rushers. Dunker uses his length well to sustain his blocks. A move to the inside from tackle should allow him to battle more power rushers, so he will be able to capitalize on a strength
Dunker is not a great athlete for the position. He can get off to a slow start to plays, as he lacks quickness out of his stance. Dunker also lacks agility as well. He is able to get to the second level as a run blocker, but some players can elude him. Dunker will win more because of his strength and technique rather than his athleticism.
His pass blocking on an island wasn’t great. Dunker didn’t have the quickness to mirror pass rushers or the flexibility to prevent them from bending around the edge. While moving to the inside should help, he could still struggle with quick interior pass rushers.
He has heavy hands that can jolt defenders backwards, but he can still work on his hand usage overall. Dunker could get his hands activated more quickly to help him early in the rep. He can also keep his hands inside to help him control the matchup and sustain his blocks. If he can get the timing and placement down, his hand usage could be devastatingly good.
Projected Draft Range: Second Round Pick-Fourth Round Pick
Draft Grade: Second Round Pick
