Publish Date: July 2, 2025

The New York Knicks are expected to hire Mike Brown as their next head coach, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Brown has been a head coach for the Cavaliers, Lakers and Kings for a total of 11 seasons. He has a record of 454-304 in his career. Brown was also an assistant coach for the Wizards, Spurs, Pacers and Warriors.

During the 2024-2025 NBA season, Brown was the coach of the Kings. He was fired after 31 games with a 13-18 record.

The Knicks fired head coach Tom Thibodeau after the team made a run to the Eastern Conference Finals in the 2025 playoffs. A deal is being worked on right now between Brown and the Knicks.
