This may come as a surprise to many Dallas Cowboys fans. The excitement surrounding the team adding a very talented wide receiver to lineup opposite of CeeDee Lamb has been palpable. And why shouldn’t it be?
He was clearly the best offensive option in Pittsburgh and after their trade for DK Metcalf, it made some sense for them to move on from the disgruntled Pickens. He goes to a much better situation and a vastly superior quarterback with a top 10 wide receiver in the league to take the attention off him. There is a good chance this could be Pickens’ best year of his career.
That being said, Madden 26 is clearly taking a wait-and-see approach. If he struggles with some of the same issues he has then his rating may be justified. We would not count on that, though. Look for Dak to push the ball down the field and for Pickens’ rating to climb throughout the season.
