TSM vs. C9
It would be a lot of fun if this rivalry was close right now. Sadly, it likely won’t be. TSM have not been pushovers (outside of the 100 Thieves game) and should give Cloud9 a run for their money at a few points in the game. But unless Blaber and Fudge turn back into pumpkins at midnight, this game should easily go the way of the sky people.
EG vs. FLY
Another great battle here for FlyQuest and really for those watching the LCS. Two juggernaut teams will go at it and eyes will focus on the carry positions. FBI and Prince have been outstanding so far and it will be quite the battle. Then there is the jojo versus VicLa struggle. The struggle being that both have been inconsistent so far. This game will come down to that battle in the mid lane, whoever comes out on top will take home the dub. This is a coinflip and this time, it landed on EG upsetting FLY.
TL vs. 100T
Doubelift will continue his revenge tour this week against TL. Will Team Liquid finally ban or takeaway the Zeri from DL? If not then this is an easy 100T win. Honestly, either way 100 Thieves should win this. As good as Haeri and Yeon have been, facing the likes of Bjergsen and Doublelift is quite the task. Look for 100T to come out on top here.
CLG vs. GG
CLG have got to find solid ground under them and keep themselves from being Golden Guardians first win. They have not been able to keep any lead they build themselves and this comes down to things like bad objective control, specifically around the Dragon Pit. If they can get to dragons early and start stacking then things should turn around. Expect a win here and if not then the Faithful may start losing faith.
IMT vs. DIG
A battle of the bottom squads. If one were to say that a team with Armut, Santorin, Jensen and Biofrost would be 0-4 with only 15 kills through the first four games, they would be told that they were nuts. Instead, it is reality and they should be afraid of IMT. They found their recipe for success, let Kenvi cook. Since it is IMT though and it is still hard to pick that team over the many solid players on DIG, this should be DIG’s first win of 2023.
FlyQuest are really just running through the top teams to start the season. 100 Thieves are certainly going to be another challenge and it will all depend again on the bot lanes for both teams. Prince has been outstanding and Doublelift has been great too. The difference is that Prince has done it one a different champion each game and DL has been attached to just Zeri. If she is gone things look a little different for 100T. Because of that, FLY take this one.
The oldest rivalry in the LCS continues as both teams look to crawl out of the middle of the pack. Both teams look equal in a lot of ways. They are both playing better than the sum of their parts, which has been a theme for CLG since the summer of 2022. That being said, this is another coinflip. This one landed on TSM.
When most of the LCS teams are actually good, it makes for some fun and interesting matchups. This qualifies in a big way. The winner will be up there next to FlyQuest. Evil Geniuses seemed to really figure things out in week 2. It is in week 3 that they start to move forward instead of playing catchup. Look for jojo to have a great game along with Inspired to lead them over C9.
If Team Liquid play the way they did in week 2, even with Summit struggling this should be a pretty predictable victory. It would take a loss at the draft or a random Baron throw to lose this one.
Immortals and Dignitas get their wins in back-to-back days of games. Golden Guardians continue that trend here with Gori going off and taking over the mid lane from Ablazeolive.
