The Hornets seem to be on this list every season. They have rarely been competitive and while they have some decent pieces, many are just underwhelming with plenty of better options available via trade or free agency. Add in that they already have three picks in the 2026 draft and this is one that you can teardown quickly and set yourself up well with new, younger players.
Similar to Charlotte, the Hawks have three picks going in the next draft. What is even better is that they have plenty of tradable players. You could keep Trae Young and continue to build around him but starting from scratch might be a bit more fun.
We are starting to get into the harder rebuildings and Utah gets us started. They lack picks and their team is full of incredibly mid players. Ace Bailey is certainly an interesting player to at least start your rebuild around but beyond that, this team will need a lot of help.
Only one pick and your best player is a low-80s Coby White? Yeah this one is going to be rough. The days of Jordan and Rose are gone and this team needs a full reset to get itself back in championship contention. You could strip this one down to the bones and hope for some good lottery luck.
They are the worst team in the game for a reason. Luckily they do have some picks in the upcoming draft but really not much else. Egor Demoin is a player you could keep just to see how he pans out. Other than that you will want to reset and hope that your draft picks are better than what the Nets just did in the 2025 NBA Draft.
