Understandably so, players are excited to jump back into Fortnite for its Fortnite OG season launch. During this season, players are enjoying old features, weapons, and the original Chapter 1 map to make its return. In addition to this, remixes of some iconic Chapter 1 skins are also present in the form of a mini battle pass. With the amount of popularity that Fortnite OG is receiving, Fortnite breaks records being one of the most popular Season launches since the initial release of Battle Royale.
Fortnite made history thanks to the inclusion of Fortnite OG. The battle royale title began breaking records with its player count since the launch of Fortnite OG. The game has seen over 6 Million concurrent players and even reached its all-time peak player count. The official Fortnite Twitter page has even come out to inform players that “yesterday was the biggest day in Fortnite’s history with over 44.7 MILLION players jumping in and 102 MILLION hours of play.” The player count during Fortnite OG only continues to grow as the Season goes on.
How long this momentum will go for is all determined by Fortnite’s next move with the next Season. The Fortnite OG Season is only planned to last a month as it can’t stay forever. Of course, the player base will dissipate after it ends, but there are bound to be a few that find themselves roped back into the title.
