There’s been a noticeable shift in the Deadlock rumor mill lately, and a lot of it is starting to center around one idea: PvE. And based on recent leaks and discussion, this one is starting to gain some momentum.
According to recent reports, early concepts of a PvE mode are being explored, including what appears to be a separate map designed specifically for that experience.
While the images shared are described as rough recreations rather than final assets, the implication is clear. This would not just be a small side feature. A new map alone suggests a completely different way to play Deadlock.
Right now, the game primarily exists on one core map. Adding another, especially tied to PvE, would be a major expansion of scope.

There’s no confirmed direction yet, but there have been a lot of rumored directions for Deadlock’s potential PvE mode.
It’s also worth noting that developers from Hopoo Games (Risk of Rain) joined Valve to work on Deadlock back in 2024, which could influence the direction of a PvE mode.
Even if this is still early, it changes how we think about Deadlock.
This is no longer just a traditional MOBA-style game. Between new modes, potential maps, and now PvE discussion, it’s starting to look like a much broader experience.
For now, this is still in the rumor stage. But if even part of this ends up being real, it could be one of the biggest additions Deadlock has seen.
We will continue to monitor this and provide updates as they are made available. Stay tuned!
